Nothing is beyond being worked through.

Although it doesn’t feel pleasant and it isn't easy...a lot of this comes work comes down to experiences that haven’t been fully metabolized yet,

and a nervous system that has done its best to organize around what you’ve been carrying.

 

You’re trying to keep up the best you can.

What Anxiety Can Look Like

Anxiety doesn’t always look the way people expect it to. It’s not always panic or obvious overwhelm. A lot of the time, it’s quieter, more internal, and easy to miss especially if you’ve gotten used to functioning through it.

​Sometimes it shows up in your body tightness in your chest, shallow breathing, restlessness, or a sense that something just

isn’t right.

​

Other times, it shows up in your relationships...holding things in, over-explaining, people-pleasing, or feeling misunderstood even when you’re trying your best to communicate.

​

The goal isn’t to fit into a category, it’s to understand how anxiety is showing up in your experience so we can actually

work with it.

You might notice it as:​​

  • constantly overthinking or second-guessing yourself

  • feeling on edge, even when nothing is clearly wrong

  • difficulty slowing down or fully relaxing

  • trouble sleeping or feeling mentally “on” all the time

  • avoiding conversations, decisions, or situations that feel uncomfortable

  • overworking or overproducing to stay ahead of the feeling

  • feeling stuck in patterns you can’t seem to break

Even if it shows up differently for you, it still matters

How I approach anxiety therapy

My approach is trauma-informed and focused on helping us understand what’s underneath your anxiety, not just manage the symptoms.

​

We don’t try to get rid of the feeling or push through it. We slow things down enough to start making sense of what’s actually happening:

 

how your thoughts, emotions, and nervous system are interacting, and what patterns have formed over time.

​

From there, we begin to work with those patterns more intentionally.

That might look like:​

  • building awareness around what triggers your anxiety

  • understanding what your anxiety is trying to protect you from

  • learning how to regulate your nervous system in a way that actually feels doable

  • shifting patterns of overthinking, avoidance, or over-functioning

  • creating more space between what you feel and how you respond

This isn’t about quick fixes or surface-level coping. It’s about creating change that feels more stable, more grounded, and more aligned with who you are.

We move at a pace that feels manageable, while still keeping momentum, so you’re not stuck and also not overwhelmed.

Getting Started

Starting therapy is a big step, and it will bring up a lot...especially if you’re used to handling things on your own or aren’t sure where to begin.

The fact that you’re reading this takes courage.

​

There’s no right or wrong way to do this. You don’t have to perform. You just show up...and we take it from there.

​

I offer virtual therapy to clients across California. We start with a free consultation where we’ll talk through what you’re hoping to get out of therapy, answer any questions you have, and get a sense of whether this feels like a good fit.
